We originated in the Wallingford Community of Seattle as a project of Wallingford Neighbors for Peace and Justice, a member of The S.N.O.W. Coalition (Sound Non-violent Opponents of War).
We present  social justice documentary films every Friday night, along with facilitated open community discussion on a wide range of topics, free and open to the public.
We are fully funded by donations from the community.

Our purpose is to gather, educate, inspire, connect, and commit to peace and justice.
For over 10 years, we have provided a forum:
- For neighbors to engage in open discussion
- For building meaningful community
- For social justice groups to present their campaigns
- For community members to connect to meaningful, non-violent social justice action
- For occasional city-wide events co-sponsored with other groups
- For filmmakers to present and promote their work

Each evening is planned, based on film, topic, co-sponsors, current news and other available resources.
We do not operate for profit;
We operate with a fully volunteer staff and are funded only by donations.
We welcome diverse opinions.
We are not church or politically affiliated.

We maintain a free community Documentary Film Lending Library that is sustained through donations. Nearly 1200 titles are currently available.Check it out at:

We strongly encourage and support the efforts of other neighborhoods to organize around film as an educational tool and as a catalyst for developing community, and ultimately changing the world. The hope is that our program and success can be replicated by other communities.
